Public Affairs & Issues Management (Public Relations)
I have been on faculty in Chico State's Department of Journalism & Public Relations since 2005 and department chair since 2011.
I am the third generation in a newspaper family and worked for newspapers in New Mexico, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Nevada and Indiana.
My academic research focuses on media; application and social impact of emerging technologies; corporate media ownership; and race, diversity and gender representations in the media.
My personal interests include hiking, music, books, Boxers and yoga (not necessarily in that order). And naps. I like naps.
Since 2000 – and counting
Truth: I have never finished a cup of coffee
And too many song lyrics in my head
